وقيل: يبدأ فيهما بالوسطى، ثم الخنصر، ثم الإبهام، ثم البنصر، ثم السباحة. وقال الآمدي: يبدأ بإبهام اليمنى، ثم الوسطى، ثم الخنصر، ثم السباحة، ثم البنصر، ثم كذلك اليسرى. وقيل: يبدأ بسبابة يمناه بلا مخالفة إلى خنصرها، ثم بخنصر اليسرى. ويختم بإبهام اليمنى. ويبدأ بخنصر رجله اليمنى، ويختم بخنصر اليسرى، انتهى۔
وأما تقليم الأظفار فسنة ليس بواجب، وهو تفعيل من القلم وهو القطع، ويستحب أن يبدأ باليدين قبل الرجلين، فيبدأ بمسبحة يده اليمنى، ثم الوسطى ثم البنصر ثم الخنصر ثم الإبهام، ثم يعود إلى اليسرى فيبدأ بخنصرها ثم ببنصرها إلى آخرها، ثم يعود إلى الرجلين اليمنى فيبدأ بخنصرها ويختم بخنصر اليسرى، والله أعلم، انتهى۔
وقال العيني في عمدة القاري (٢٢/٤٥): ولم يثبت في ترتيب الأصابع عند القص شيء من الأحاديث.
